How would something like that get in the tank? Jen - did you buy new plants recently?
 
Who knows how it got in. No new plants. That tank has a dense cover of floating plants for fry so I can see how it would be enticing. We sometimes leave the back door open so the kids can go in and out to the yard. Anyone know what the eggs would look like?
 
Yep, damselfly naiad. It's pretty close to metamorphosis too, judging by the wing pad development; it may be in the final pre-adult instar.
 
many fish will eat them. i had a bunch appear in my tank so i added a medium silver angel.... i ended with one fat angel. i never saw any fish dissappear though.
 
I think the mollies would eat them if they found them, but the floating plants are really dense. There is a cover on the tank, it would have had to come in around the HOB. I may tray removing some of the plants and see it that would make them "more available" to the fish. I don't see anymore on first glance, but since this is the second, I assume there are more (unless the fish DID eat them........)
