What the heck is wrong with Aquabid

I dont know if its because I buy so much on ebay but every month I can post 5 auctions for free, maybe its a special ebay has for certain members who use ebay alot or maybe its for everyone might want to check it out. As for sketchy buyers on ebay I would say its more sketchy sellers who list a item for 99 cents "buy it now auction" then want 45.00 for shipping and "handling" so they can try and rip off ebay for the fee they owe since ebay doesnt take a percentage of shipping costs on a auction. If they are trying to scam ebay good sign they will try and scam you as well if you buy from them. I keep suggesting to ebay they just charge a fee for the auctions total price which would include shipping and this would stop the sketchy sellers from running that scam. And it is very common to see these scam auctions you just have to be aware and not deal with them people. It in no way costs 45.00 to mail item that would fit in a small priority box. I think ebay is quite reasonable for the exposure you get and the ease of use. If your item doesnt sell the 1st time you list you can relist it again for free my local newspaper doesnt offer that and they sure charge alot more then ebay does.

I sell tons of cories on Aquabid for over 3 years now and other fishes never had any trouble what so ever. I just start the price with the price I would like to get for the next year or so until every one has them. LOL

you have to watch ebay if you have money in paypal and your ebay account is due, they took my ebay fees out of paypal without asking me,.. so i had a heck of a time when i needed to buy postage to send items out,.. as ebay bought paypal a year or so ago,..

Ebay bought Paypal like 7-8 years ago... I think.

I prefer Ebay myself to be honest, at least as a seller.. the fees can be tough, but the system is easier to use, they're mostly problem-free in terms of server and technical issues, and when a problem does arise, they actually go and fix it. There's also a far larger customer base, and they're usually willing to pay more.

..sometimes I wish one of the other fish auctions sites (*******************, Finvillage, etc) would take off and Aquabid would be forgotten with..

this is correct dixie..paypal is owned by ebay but honestly since paypal has been owned by ebay I've had much easier time dealing with both then before..also..ebay charges fees yes BUT

1. their site isnt badly coded
2. exposure like you would not believe
3. not as many sketchy buyers or sellers for that matter

Aquabid has no fees BUT...

1. their site is very rough around the edges per say
2. 0 tech support or help
3. kinda good exposure but a lot of people have no clue what aquabid is and use ebay for their fish needs

to each their own I guess I mean I use both more ebay then anything and its seriously a breeze...
