It doesnt seem to be growing or spreading, i took the tank over from a CL special and am now trying to rid it of this stuff....i mean the tank looks awesome otherwise and can totaly live with this darkness, but i think i can make them look better with some help..

Kinda dark green/darker green color....cant wipe of with fingers....

nitrite 0
nitrate less than 20
used API master liquid drops..
no gh/hk tests (i dont have...i know I probably need..)
2x96 6500k coralife
ferts 3x week...

dont all jump in at once heheh...just wondering if there is anything i can do to improve the plant....

Are you talking about the dark stuf growing on some of the plants? If so, at least some of it looks like BBA (Black Beard Algae).

The java fern picture is not too clear but that stuff could just be the fern spores/rootlets from which baby ferns appear.
 
ahhh ok...it has been there since i got the tank...it is not getting any worse or better so.....thanks for chiming in NickD.
 
looks like either the beginnings of BBA (maybe) or perhaps green spot algae. if it is indeed green spot algae, then your best bet would be to get a couple nerite snails for the tank, as they are voracious algae eaters.

plus they look cool and dont get too big.
