Hi! I just joined today and would like to ask some questions. First, my female guppy seemed to be pregnant because it has a really big tummy with some kind of black spot. but not too obvious yet. So... if it was to give birth, what should i do with the babies, because this is the first time i have a pregnant guppy. Should i seperate the babies, if not when it is how old? then is it the babies will get their food from their mother first then when it grows up, it can eat what their parents eat right. And by the way, i tanked the female with 2 males togethe. Thanks for reading and replying!

I just found out my guppy fry (4) that I thought were eaten actually survived (maybe a week and a half or 2 weeks). But there are lots of places to hide. I have first bites from Petsmart (kind of egg yolk stuff) thats liquid. I mix it in with the water and use a turkey baster to get it near the fry or put it in some plants they are hanging around. I also have frozen Baby Brine Shrimp that work well (not regular brine shrimp). My 4 survived without any suplementation but I also have plants which can provide nutrients...

If you decide to pull them, the easiest way is to use a turkey baster. You can suck them up really easily that way.

Also, the best ratio for male to female with guppies is 1 male to 3 females. This is because the males will harass the female constantly so you need to spread out their interest among many females. Otherwise the one female will get really stressed out.
