If the LFS won't take them back, advertise them (free, preferably) on Craigslist as "pond goldfish". You'll get loads of responses, and you can choose where they go.
I feel bad for the goldfish used as feeders. They are poor choice for feeders in truth but who bothers researching the disadvantages of feeders?:shakehead:
