Hi,

I just added my first fish (6 cardinal tetras) after a 2 month cycle. I am ver excited. I have live plants in my tank which I may move around. My question is, when I move the plants around should I leave the fish in the tank ot tank them out and put them in a bucket. I oviously want to do what will cause the least stress to the fish.

I have a 10g tall tank so there's not too much room for the fish and my hands.

I move the plants around with fish in the tank. Removing the fish would involve removing all the plants and decorations within the tank--much more stressful. I always make sure to clean the gravel in the area I'll be working in so there's not a bunch of debris--or clean it up after the move. Either way, just be careful not to trap the fish in the process, and they will be fine.
