What to do with smallest fish (Others steel its food)

considering it is an angel, you will probably need to move it to a growout tank so it can catch up. with angels and other "schooling" cichlids, the smallest will be picked on and fall farther and farther behind.

So this being the case should i just get her to let me move it to a different tank or should i try what they other suggest first then if he doesn't catch up get her to let me move him?

I've no experience with angels...but my thought is to go ahead and make the move if you have another tank available.
