I found some pandas but they are small, maybe 1/2".

Is there a food that they might do better with? I have pellet and flake but since they are so tiny, I am not sure what I should do.

I had them in the bag and looked back at the tank and one in the tank was swimming odd. I asked the owner what to do if mine swim odd and he said to check my water. I told him that I was asking because one in his tank was doing that.

Tested his water, dark red nitrate, off the charts! This is a really nice LFS. The PH in their tank is 6.6 and mine is 7.6. I hope that will be okay but if they don't make it, I won't wonder why after testing.

4 are checking out the new tank, 1 was having trouble staying at the bottom of the bag on the way home. I suspect I will have one gone in the AM. Poor thing. I believe there are still 2 babies in the tank I got these from and I want to go back to rescue them but I won't.

Thank you!

I dont know what to tell you about the one that cant stay on the bottom :( sorry.

but here is some food you can try:
sinking shrimp pellets, algae wafers, fresh cucumber and zuccini(mine loved it) most sinking pelts will work..it doesnt matter how small they are,it falls apart and they'll eat it ;)

I agree! Shrimp pellets (if thats what you have) would be fine, since they soften up in the water.

Frozen daphnia always go over a treat.

Thanks.

The little floating panda only lived for a few hours.

The other 4 are okay this AM. We'll see but the store will hear from me. I of course will call and nicely tell them that their tank is off chart in nitrate. They don't guarantee fish, imagine that!

I wish I could be mean but, I can't. lol

Hi,

Yeah, shrimp pellets, crushed flakes, veggie/algae wafers, and they might be able to pack done some small bloodworms.

Hope your Pandas do great!

down to 2 from 5. Poor little guys. I am really angry at the LFS and won't shop there again.

I have learned enough not to take this personally, my water and care was great, theirs, not.

Thanks for the help. I put shrimp pellets in with the last 2, we'll see...
