what to feed

Ok this is bothering me. I just got some koi swordtails yesterday and they dont seem to like the flake food i am giving them. Any ideas? i use tetra color and all my other fish seem to gobble it right up. Just curious if the swords need something different.

well they were probably fed something else at the dealers.

A lot of fish dont start eating after the stress of being moved anyway...

if after a week they still aren't touching anything it is perhaps cause for concern.

i'm presuming gf doesn't mean girlfriend, but i'm drawing a blank as to what you are referring to

If they aren't eating you could try adding some garlic to the food (crush a small piece and mix it in) or try feeding some defrosted frozen food like bloodworms or tubifex.

also try some brine shrimp. most fish can't get enough of them.

some frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms would work, but just be patient and allow the new fish to get acclimated to the quarantine tank and the flakes.

Just remember that once you get them on a nutrient rich food, you may have to ween them off of that food later unless you want to continually feed that same food.
If the fish are hungry, they will eat eventually. They might just be picky right now.
