Hi all,
I have a fairly simple request. Please can people give me some advice on either good books or net links for articles on Mbuna cichlids. I am fairly new to these cichlids so wanna learn what I can before I commit to another tank. Really interested in getting in Mbuna but everytime I try & search the net I just get directed to either other forums or suppliers. Fingers hurt from typing & head hurts from banging it against screen. Please help, serious injury + bill for new PC imminent..... :(
Thanks one & all..... :D

This website is where you can purchase Ad Konings books:
www.cichlidpress.com I have the Back to Nature series. They don't contain so much in the way of information, however they have great photos and descriptions of many species. Other great websites on African cichlids are:
http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/
http://www.african.uklinux.net/phpBB/index.php
http://www.cichlidrecipe.com/cichlidrecipe/cover.htm
http://malawicichlids.com/
http://www.vatoelvis.com/Home.html
I've heard that Malawi Cichlids in their Natural Environment and Enjoying Cichlids both by Ad Konings are good books to read.

Thanks for the assistance.....:D

If you are still looking...I really like the Barron's Press books by Mark Phillip Smith when it comes to African Cichlids. I have found them to be helpful in providing info on individual species. The best one I have seen on care, though, would have to be Sabine Melke's TFH book on care for Malawian and Tanganiykan species.
