Fish poo as fert sounds perfect! I’m good at fish keeping, but I don’t exactly have a green thumb , so easier the betterI agree with dougall, a rotala, probably indica. I had it grow well but not out of control with medium(ish) light, no co2 & mostly just fish poo as ferts. 1 of the easier stems, the tops look better near the lights, just trim & replant the prettier new growth as needed.
I’ll probably just let it do it’s thing, I’m not really into plants, I was just kind of curious what I hadif you are really interested, you can take a cutting and concert that to emersed growth,
in my experience, it is far easier to distinguish that way based on the leaf shapes.
+1 it’s like coral and inverts in a reef tank and it helps the fish too so it’s a win win, my planted tank is looking awesome right now besides the cloudy water from the gravel i addedBut that's how the plant thing starts! (evil laugh) I prefer easy plants...but I must have some plants as part of the whole ecosystem. I belong to a plant club so I get to try many (or used to, pre Covid). When you can't have more tanks or fish, plants fill that "need to do something new" urge.
