What type of pleco is this?

actually, it looks like a Common...

Perhaps a Sailfin...

you might want to double-check at www.planetcatfish.com to be sure!

at one time i had 6 of them . i liked the way thay look when thay get big . cant remeber the name . at one time i was told it was call a red pleco . i dont know if that was right . or what the LFS just called it

I think it is a Hypostomus plecostomus I looked it up and found a pic nearly identical to mine. The first pic of a Hypostomus pleco that I found. He has those strange eyes tail shape, and beautiful spots just like mine. The second pic is of my pleco in my aquarium. It has to be this (i hope). What do you think?

Oh, I found it!! Thanks tetrafreak for the site and ghinksmon and everybody. It is a Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps- Leopard pleco. It's description matches it perfect. It had those same spots and eyes and everything.
This is how else I identified it... this is quoted from http://www.scotcat.com/factsheets/g_gibbiceps.htm
The 'Sailfin Plec' or 'Gibby' can sometimes be confused with the suckermouth catfish, Hypostomus plecostomus, but one look at the broad dorsal base which contains between 12 and 13 rays, and the difference is immeasurable, also the first ray is equal to the length of the head. The small anal fin has 4 to 5 rays and its head is conspicuous by the large nasal flares.

I dunno, I have a common that looks exactly like that
