Soooo.....I will need more than one ramshorn snail to start a colony? Sorry, I guess im missing something....

Yeah but just a few will probably be fine. Colony will probably start out a bit quicker with several, but after a couple months it shouldnt make any difference. I actually didnt intend to raise ramshorn when I dropped in the 1, just happened to work out that way.

Do your ramshorn survive when you drop them in your brackish water? Mine don't seem to live more than half hour so if my puffer doesn't eat them I have to net them out so they don't rot in there.

Hmm, well I usually dont have a problem with them eating em up in under a mniute, but i dont always pay close attention to see if they get em all. i drop in like a dozen, and the tank has lots of plants and rocks so sometimes I cant see them all.
