25g gravel 30g sand(not set up just got the sand, 10g eco complete...but think i will change it around to eco in 30 and sand in 10

All gravel in one, Sand in another, 80% plant substrate (aquariumplants.com brand)/20% gravel and combination in the last (substrate/gravel/peat moss).

I have to agree with M. here, plant substrate is not anything like gravel. Most planted tank substrates are not "like" or "similar to" gravel. They're a category of their own.

I didn't vote, because I feel like I'd have to check most of the boxes and a couple that weren't there . . .

Gravel in my older 10G, 20H, 29G. Eco-complete for the other 10G. Bare-bottom for my growout tote, and quarantine/hospital tank), sand for my 70G.

I would've like to use Eco-complete on all of my tanks, if only I had the money :)

45 gallon- pool filter sand
55 gallon- 40 lbs. Eco Complete, 20 lbs. gravel- trust me, it's much more attractive than it sounds. :)
75 gallon- 3 different sizes of natural colored gravel mixed together

2 SW tanks- aragonite sand

IMO, crushed coral is a mess as a substrate, whether is it used for a FW tank or a SW tank! It just traps way too much detritus for my tastes.

We have had a lot of problems with the river type gravel from say Petco, we won't use that anymore. Like some had said it depends on the plans for the tank, i use flourite for the planted tanks, you have to wash the heck out of it but i like the results. I am working on a 29g and am thinking of this red and black rock i found.
