What veggies could I feed my Clown Plecos?

There are lots of veggies & even fruit you can try, some are more messy than others. Check out the sticky at the top of the pleco page. I fed mostly raw zucchini, romaine & peas but you can try most anything we eat--cantaloupe, citrus fruits (they eat the part we do), banana & broccoli florets (both uber messy), green beans (canned or fresh), apple, corn on the cob, slightly cooked yam, etc. My best advice...try any just before a water change, night before for clown plecs, to let them try it a few times before you give up on any 1 food. BTW broccoli flower bits really stink & float, think twice!! Even if your plecs like it. Never again here...well maybe blanched broc stems but eewwww, yeck!

Mine loves it. I blend it with baby food and other veggie trimmings and egg shells (since I fully expect my inverts to get in on the action and the calcium is good for them), freeze it into cubes, toss one in the tank. Nothing is visibly left come morning aside from some white speckles of egg shell. Never had an issue with the smell of the water changing, and the blending/freezing/thawing seems to keep it from floating.

You can add gelatin or agar to the mix as well to help it hold form.
