I have maracyn 2, but I have not the idea if it will work against flashing fish. I have used parasite clear, but unfortunately I am out of it and I need to know if maracyn 2 works with flukes. My fish show no symptoms except just flashing/scratching. I have seen my bolivian ram and my other fish doing it. Bah! I think it was some of the new fish I bought maybe. Ah, stupid! To think a salt and medication bath or such is a enough! Nupe!

flashing is a Sx of many possible problems.
start with water..check the parameters. also findout if the water has had anything new done to it..sometimes the water companies will 'flush' the lines. the chemicals used are not toxic to humans but may prove to be an irritant to fish.

also fish may flash fo parasite including flukes.

flukes have proven to be tough to erradicate in some cases.

metro, prazi, formalin, malachite green(victoria green) and others have been used to kill flukes. often the flukes infest the gill area(good source of O2 rich blood) the fish may exhibit Sx like clamped fins, heavy breathing, one gill opening(as opposed to both) and hanging near the surface.

I think you may be right. It could be irritants out there these days its horrible

Every time my fish have exhibited flashing behavior, it's been a problem with the water (usually a pH drop because the water is so soft). Just IME.

Humm I see. Then it could be my co2. Ah yes

its probably NOT your co2. The way co2 lowers your ph isn't the same as having you ph change on its own due to a crash or low KH.
Are your fish that are flashing breathing rapidly? The symptom of gill flukes I know best is the one gill closed but I've only ever seen that in discus. If you think its flukes you can order some prazi pro. It's safe for all inhabitants and works very well on flukes. In the meantime just keep the water clean and the temp up and get the prazi as soon as you can.
