"never put an angel in a 10 gallon tank. This 10 gallon rule starts after the minimum of 20 gallons. The 10 galons just sin't fair enough for the Angels top and bottom fins to be natural"

I reread my post and I never suggested a 10 gallon tank..the rule of thumb is 10 gallons per angel :thm: now that being said..a minimum 20 gallon is correct if you only want 2 angel and more specifically a 20 tall ;)

but if you want a real angel tank I would suggest a 55 or better yet 75-100 and some tank mates with swords and roots(bogwood or driftwood)
the angels may pair and ay eggs on the sword plant(thier naturl preference).

tho angels will do fine in a species tank you can supplement with Bn plecos or some otos.(if you go with otos try to find bigger ones..I'd be scared of some of the otps I've purchased tiny lil buggers...LOL)
I agree, star... and I know you wereen't intending on saying that Angels could be start out in a 10 gallon but I saw how your post could have been misread if read by a newbie. I was only trying to clarify that the smallest tank should be a 20 and nothing less, and then from that point on, the additional 10 gallons is the way to go. ;)
