I wouldve eaten the food, obviously youve never seen inside or known someone who worked in a meat house, dept, etc, also applies for seafood. I can tell you that once youve seen and smelt a pus pocket in meat you'd probably never eat meat again, although only the smell bothered me. Also almost any seafood you buy in any store/market, etc unless your catching it yourself or buying it off the dock is roughly 3-5 days old. Seafood shouldnt smell if its does its going bad but the suppliers get around that by packing the product that sits for few days before being shipped out in ammonia chips and ice perfect at keeping the smell at bay. Ive also seen disgusting things cutting fish from worms in swordfish 24" long too weird bugs in redfishs mouth and throat where there tongue should have been. Funny thing is if your buying fish and you see a worm or two alive and moving in the fillet thats the piece Id buy easily removed and you know the fish is is about as fresh as your going to get without catching it yourself.
