I'm looking for a person who might have an Archocentrus spilurum or two (or maybe a few more) available for sale.

There is a catch:

I need someone who lives near Rockford, Illinois, or someone who is willing to ship fish to me.

Also, I cannot get the fish until early June, but I wanted to put out some feelers (kinda like gouramies, which would not spend time with the Jade-eyes) now to see if I could get some fish then.

Wish we were a Quad City...and no gambling boats there...the non-scientific name is the Jade-Eyed Cichlid or the Blue-Eyed Cichlid, among many others!

I think we're the largest city in America without a Major League Baseball affiliate, major or minor-league...
 
I think that you're thinking of Rock Island, but I'll meet you there if you have a Jade-Eyed Cichlid for me! :)

Yep, I've seen that, and I see that he's got some Cutteris in right now, but I can't purchase them until I'm home for the summer, and he estimates that he'll be sold out by then. Thanks though, and I'll keep on checking!
 
im ordering a arch. "cutteri" and some c. spectabilis from him, its pretty much get em while you can..

Hey, I've got a nutty idea...anyone who's in the Rockford, Illinois, area and wants to split an order to Jeff can go ahead and reply here...hopefully that will cut down on the cost to each of us!!!
 
Found a Spilurum...guy near me has a 3" that he's giving away, so I'm gonna take it off of his hands. Thanks for the info, all! :)
