What's a good filter

I have a Betta in a 2g aquarium, and I want to put a flter on it. I have very little experience with small aquariums, what kind of filter should I get?

You could try an aquaclear mini. They are adjustable, so probably go as low as 50 gph. You can slow it down a bit more by covering the intake with foamy filter material/floss.

I have seen tiny sponge filters about the size of a golfball.

the red sea nano filter or the azoo palm filter are the smallest power filters ive seen, and i think they are the same thing

If your water is good to go right out of the tap. I would just put a live plant in there and do a 50% water change every other day.

What is a good plant for a small tank?

Depending on your light situation. One of the anubias may work. They usually don't grow super fast and you'll have no trouble finding a new home for it. Java fern?
