whats holding your tank up?

my 5 is on a built in stand/room divider thing that came with the house. 10 is on an end table that somebody went overkill on the materilas for. 20 tall is on a sturdy dresser. 25 is on a DIY wood stand that came with the tank. 29 is on a "steel frame".

I have my 10 gallon on an $15 tvstand/bookcase thing I picked up at Target.

Please pardon the craptastic quality of the photo - cell phone pic. Also tank's a mess currently, it's on the verge of a major re-haul.

the 10 gallon is on my dresser drawer, which happens to be from IKEA and i built it 3 or 4 years back. i would say its large and sturdy, held my weight as i was hanging up pictures, it could hold a 20 gallon tank probably. my own 20 gallon is on an AGA black wooden stand that i bought with the tank and hood for $160. its designed to hold a 30 gallon extra tall as well, so i have no problems with it.

thats a nice tank nontheless, much better than my boring, almost empty 10 gallon betta tank. btw, what cell phone do you have? thats a pretty good quality pic for a cell phone, looks 1.3 megapixels

Thanks for the compliment on the tank :) I'm going to start planting it :duh:

The cell is a Sony Ericsson W600i and yep, it's a 1.3 megapix cam. The video capabilities are pretty decent considering too. The walkman feature sold me though..that and all the insane mail in rebates I got through my carrier.

30 and 90 are on aquarium stands and my 10 gallon is on the microwave cart in the kitchen. Anything over 20 I would recomend putting on an aquarium stand or something that you know can handle a lot of wieght. Im not so sure about those bricks I would be worried that the shelf would sag. Maybe if you reinfourced the shelf with some 2x4's the rested the 2x4's on the bricks.

When I upgrade the 29's to 75's (next spring-tax refund) will probaly run 2X4 on edge screwed and glued to the boards. 8 foot long instead of the present 6. 29's will go underneath then; not sure where the 10 and 20 will go...
