What the difference between mystery, apple and bridgsii snails. It seems that the terms have been used here interchangably but maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about

The term 'apple snail' covers several hundreds of species of snails so it's a blanket term really. The term 'mystery' is a common name for the Pomacea bridgesii effusa. I always use the short term 'brig' or the scientific name as they are more valid and you can relate the subject without too much confusion. Apple can refer to canas, insularums, brigs, etc.
Ah, so my purple bridgsii snails are also mystery snails which along with several hundred other species are apple snails? I think I got it
