What tricks do you employ to trick difficult aquatic creatures into net? I had to giggle this morning trying to catch more than a dozen Pygmy Corries, then I remembered my ol-Loach catchin trick. Instead of chasing them around a bare tank I put in my resin loach stump and spooked them into its false safety. I then simply swooshed the stump upside down and caught like 5or6 @atime in the stump, I only had to net afew. This got me thinkin theres got to be some good storries out there about interesting means of transpo.

the hardest for me was tryin to catch 2 small blue danmsels that were in a 55gal...i screamed , cussed, and cried for 2 hours tryin to catch those 2...it was almost impossible..but i did it...lol

A giant danio that's still in my Malawi tank, happily living among them. Well, actually I don't know how happy he is but he's still too fast and I'm terrible with a net. I think an offset handle would make it a lot easier.

8 danio erythromicrons in a heavily planted 10g. Pretty much had to dismantle the entire tank to catch them.

I catch my modesta Loach with a trout net. I pull his stump up with him in it. I put the net under the stump and when I pull the stump out the water he flops into the net. Works every time. He loves that stump

Loach is now my eassiest to catch:)

The hardest for me was netting a pictus cat, before I knew they had so many pokey parts! I had no clue they could get stuck in the nets. This fish got stuck so bad, and it took me a good five minutes to slowly cut him out, and I got stabbed once in the process. I now scoop them up in a cup. :)

Otherwise, my panda cories are the hardest. It takes forever to catch them!

Im scarred of netting my largest Gold Gourami for fears of pelvic feelers getting stuck, hope I dont have to move him EVER or Id try using a bucket or something

Hook-n-worm for Cichlids shows them whos boss. I dont really do this but it would save time
