Whats the hardest fish/creature youve ever had to net?

Hahaha. I have to literally take everything out, dodge my billion plants, hold food over the top, etc. It's sooo much work to net my cichlids. They're butt munches :P

I have a school of ~ 30 emerald corys. Those are a pain to catch...I had to catch the whole school to change tanks. It took over an hour and 3 people lol

I got my female featherfin, about 6-7" long, stuck in a fisherman's net the other day because it was the only one we had. Spent a very agonizing time pulling barbels out of it before I finally wanted to just cut the net apart.

Horseface loach. Haven't had to net it yet (hell, haven't seen it since I got it so not even 100% sure it is still alive) but any fish that can move through sand better then most fish move through water is gonna be damned near impossible to remove without a complete tear-down.

my flying fox. it took 2 nets, 2 people and we had to dismantle the tank (like decor)
in the end my flying fox was caught because I think he had enough fun tormenting us lol

I've never been able to catch my blue gourami. She is the biggest I've had, I thought that would mean easy to catch, but nooo! LOL
She even thinks a net is coming near the tank and she's off! haha

I finally gotten fairly good at catching the bettas, they are quite funny, some I can just scoop in my hand and others must be chased down and stressed out and tricked into a net. You'd think they'd learn there is an easier way lol.

The 2 hardest, that I've actually finally caught lol, were 1. a molly, and 2. a platy fry about an inch long. I chased the molly for 4 hours with no (good) results and finally recalled reading about making a trap to catch a fish. The next day I had her in the trap thank goodness!
The fry took endless hours of trying to catch and 2 traps before I finally got him lol. That little bugger annoyed the heck outa me lol!

Creature? A loose Parakeet in a 10000 sq ft building. With 20' ceilings. Fish? A 4' Green Moray. Solid muscle that can go forwards or backwards equally fast, with a set of choppers at one end you don't want attached to you! Bagging that thing was FUn!

I recently tried to net myself a small child, unfortunately he escaped me grasp. I find that people tend to be hard to net, as they tend to kick and scream when you do end up catching them. No idea why though....

I find I can catch almost anything from below. Simply position the net under the fish or shrimp, raise it up slowly till the rim is near the eye level of the animal, then lift it straight up fast till the net is well above the waterline - I get my target more often than not using this technique.
