Actually, I meant the freshwater varieties. Some are marine, some brackish, and some freshwater. The freshwater types are quite rare though, and hard to keep from what I understand.

The thread fin is also marine.

For FW...Hmmm. Quillback. Ugly beasts. Mooneye--pretty fish, attractive colors.

For an aquarium FW fish...Butterfly fish are cool looking. The morymid family is also pretty interesting.

Banjo cats look like leaves too and are very cheep. but you can go days with them buired in the gravel so that you can't find them!
Raskolincof's idea of a butterfly fish is neet, ive always wanted a butterfly, but ive already got an angel in my 30 gal, so ive used up all of my upper level of that aquarium.
by the way, what would be the tank requirements of a butterfly fish?

hmmm, moonfish. arent they the ones that are realy thin but have a flat head, like /_;<. with a slanted head, u know?

I second Banjos. They look like the head of a crab stuck on the end of a stick. If you're lucky, you'll get a Banjo that doesn't mind spending a bit of time in the light. Keep an eye out for them running up and down the sides of the aquarium shortly after lights out.
