so i had 3 tiger barbs in my tank for a few days, and just now got 7 more today.
and i was just notcing two tiger barbs going in on some action with eachother. one looks like the older guy whos been in the tank, the other is from today. they keep kissing eachothers mouths over and over, and switching sides, its kinda like a really tight circle, they keep circliing eachother, then smack lips, circle eachother, smack lips, etc. they are like kissing eachothers bodies and flicking off eachother. these 2 aree just really goin at it. what is this? a pecking order or somethig? they both have their top fins all the way up. they just keep spinning around eachother kissing eachother!!! the regular barbs stripes arent as black as normal anymore, and both of them are breathing fast when they actually step away from eachother for a moment (not gasping, just opening/closing mouth real fast)..ah
im just reealll paranoid cause i lost all 10 of my barbs recently, then i got 10 baby barbs 2 weeks later, and lost all those two. and from the first batch i lost, i saw a lot of biting off eachothers scales for some reason.. so im just hoping this isnt an early stage of like picking off eachothers maybe..irritated scales or something?
(p.s. if you're wondering how i managed to lose 20 tiger barbs and other fish, just read this thread. it goes all the way from square 1. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201508)
