I bought a clam about a month ago and when I got him home I notice he had a spiral growth on one side of him. with further observation I noticed this growth has a creature in it. A fat brown worm thing. It has two antenae and lays a web where it catches food and eats whatever I feed my fish. Does anyone know what this is and will it hurt my clam? how should I remove it? I've attached a pic, though I t don't know how well it came out. the black dot to the north west of my thumb is the creature that I speak of.
