This fish came with one of my tanks. The only thing I can find close is a Roloff's Barb but not sure.

Any Idea's?

Or Chanda ranga.:iagree: Lucky you didn't get the ones with fluorescent colors which are dyed and prone to lymphocystis, an incurable viral disease.

He's almost three years old. He was the only one of 6 to survive an evil guppies attack's when they were purchased a couple of years ago. He since outlived the guppy and is one tough little guy. He's been housed alone for over a year and will not tolerate tank mates. I had to get the little bugger his own 15 Gal. He beat the crap out of my community tank and ate two neon tetra's.

He will have a happy little home in his 15 gal tank till he kick's the bucket, he's earned it.

I agree. Though they need schools so either find some more or rehome.

Will he tolerate a school after being alone for so long? I would like to find more. Especially if it would make them peaceful, and they could go back in with my Zebra Danio's and Panda Cory's.

I've never seen them without the dye. Quite a striking fish, IMO!

Yeah he is pretty cool looking. Looked really good with the Zebra's and Panda's but beat the heck out of em. And he ate the neon tetra's.

I doubt it ate the neons...are you sure they didn't just die on their own?

Well I cant be sure but I lost one the first night and the next on the second. No bodies ever appeared. I emptied everything but the substarte looking. He also stopped taking flakes the 2 days following.

I then left my cold cathode lights on the third night with the other lights in the room off. It was not 10 minutes and I was watching him relentlessly attack the poor neons. I promptly put him in isolation and picked up a 15 for him the next day. No more disappearances after that.
