What's this tank worth?

I upgraded to a new tank. About what price should I ask for on the following used equipment if I sold it together on Craigslist...

20 gallon tank with some scratches
hood
light w/ bulb
Whisper 20 hot filter w/ 6 months of media
syphon
cool looking gravel

I'm in Brooklyn NY if anyone's interested.

It would be worth more to me if the light is flourescent. Assuming it is, in my area, I would list at 40-50 obo. That is roughly half retail and a good starting point if yours is clean and if somone is looking for a setup.

The other thing to remember is that people who shop on craigs list are cheap sob's... I should know I am one of them. They are always looking for a good deal so you may get lowballed.

Without a picture, and without a better description, I'd only pay $20 for everything.

You could also try ebay, that way you can put a pic. but of course you would have to pay a little to list it too. I just sold a 20g tank with a little more stuff with it than what you have for $60. I think it would also depend on how bad/noticeable the scratches are, that would turn me off from a used tank. Good luck selling it :thm:

I'm thinking I should just go for local pickup. It seems even the online retailers shy away from shipping/selling glass tanks online. I guess it's not worth the hassle of it breaking in the mail. It is flourescent... I'm a cheap sob too. Thanks.
