Whats up with my plants?

Lack of iron would be my guess

Looks like several issues.

Let's start with the basics.

How far is the distance from your substrate to your bulbs?

What brand and type macro and micro are you dosing?

What amounts of each are you dosing?

How much Excel are you dosing?

What's your water perameters?

You look to have several issues.

Some is algae like bba/hair and or staghorn.

Others look like nutrient deficient issues.

How often and how much water do you change?

Depending on what your dosing and how much vs the light par amount will make a difference.

Little more info and i can help you solve the issue.

I agree with who ever said iron to be one issue....and everything in the post above is a concern.

Macro Micro Nutrient mixing instructions: Mix with a ratio of 1/4 cup of Macro Micro Nutrient Mix to 2 cups water (or 60g to 500 ml). Dose 1-4 drops per gallon per day. Start with the lowest dose of 1 drop per gallon per day and stay with that dose for 2-3 weeks before deciding to increase the dose. Increase the dose based on the needs of your plants. There are 76 drops in a teaspoon.

76 drops in a teaspoon...I think you might be overdoing it a little bit with the ferts there, especially considering two T8s over a 55g is fairly low light.

This mix apparently has Plantex CSM+B which has iron, so I don't think it would be as easy as just target dosing that. What I did notice is that it's lacking phosphorus in any form. That's a macro nutrient missing from the equation.

Just some thoughts. I honestly can't tell you if this is the issue at all, especially since my experience with BBA was related to fluctuating CO2, but it's something to consider based on the info given.

In my opinion, 64w of T8 lighting over a 55g tank is pretty low for most plants. When you have an excess of nutrients with a lack of light, you risk throwing the tank out of balance. With both the low lighting and the Miracle Grow soil, you have a simple low tech tank. The extra ferts may be unnecessary entirely, unless you up the lighting as well.

What kind of plants do you have? A couple of those look like they may be higher light plants, which would explain them not doing well.
