i've had a bronze cory cat for a while now. when i first got him, he was super hyper and all day he was zooming around the bottom of the tank. but recently, he's been acting all lethargic and stays in one place or swims along kind of slowly (except during feeding time). he's eating and everything, so i'm not too worried, but i would like to know what's going on.

:help:
i appreciate any help
i am eternally in your debt :bowing:

Maybe he's just gotten use to it's environment. They do like to have another cory or 2 to "school" with.

well i had at one point a school of 5 corys mixed. 1 albino, 2 bronze and a very large species...? anywayz one after another they started dying prob from age, but i have one left and hes slow and sluggish where as with all of his buddys he was amazingly fast moving..it could be he just wants a friend. :shark: :shark: :o

It would be best to get him a couple of friends of his own kind. I have 2 different schools of corys in my tank and the 2 schools totally ignore each other, I think its just lonely, after going from having friends to being all alone

sorry, I was confused by the other post.... But I still say buy him a couple of the same buddys. I had an albino cory who was alone for several months (I had 2 spotted corys in the tank, and didn't realize that he wanted his own kind) once I added a couple of green corys (look just like albinos with a shimmer) he was like a new fish. I actually considered euthanizing him at one point b/c I was sure there was something wrong with him  :o

You really need more of the same type to guarantee they will shoal.
Mixing the panda with the bronze will not automatically make them compatible - they might or might not.

Get at least 3 or 4 more bronze corys - they should be pretty easy to find?
