Whats Wrong With my Devil?!

I have this baby Red Devil for about a month now, did not have any problems with him. Two days ago I noticed little black spots on his fins, I was really busy past few days and did not get a chance to actually pay much attention tot he tank but today in the morning when I got up to feed them Ive noticed even more black stuff on Devils tale.

I have tried to take a picture but good luck with getting him to stay still. Its bad quality but this is all I got.

Any idea what is it?
 
when i had a baby devil that happened when the water quality got bad. he is tail was first, it would get black on the outside edges of it, then it would move to more fins. it was the first cichlid i had, and didn't know much about the hobby so i was confused, now that i look back i know it was from his "happiness" check the water and give it time, it will go away.

I do about 25-50% water change every week (based on what I feem them this week and how messy it gets)... is there anything special you had to do?
 
not especially, he was a pretty tough fish. that seems like a good water change schedule. i would stick to that, and it may just go away. looking at your picture, my RD got a lot more black than that on him before it went away (well about twice as much). then it went away fast. i wouldn't worry about it. if he seems to swim around happily, just chill for now. it will probably fade away.
 
Well, the next day after I posted this the spots became smaller and today have finally disappeared. Weirdest thing I have ever seen with these guys.. :eek:
