What's wrong with my fish?

I have two pink kissing gouramis, and both of them have these little skinny brown things coming out of there fins. it looks like the brown things might even be coming out the side of one of their eyes. :sad ONe of them also have half of its tail fin missing, someone plz tell me what to do!

well, do you have any other fish in the tank? becasue if you do i suggest you put them somewhere els, in a hospital tank, or mabye if your local fish dealer could hold them for you. ill try and get the disease on the internet, i am looking now.

It would really help if you could post more information. Pictures would be great, but a really detailed description is good too.
Things that are also helpful are your water parameters, maintenance routine (how much water changed how often) and tank specs - what's in the tank, how long has it been up and running, etc. The more information you can provide, the better the chances are one of us will know what's happening.

Meanwhile, I'd suggest doing a water change; a cleaner environment can't hurt and often helps a lot.
