Hi everyone! My black molly is currently popping out babies (yaaayy finally!). Howeverrrr, I noticed that some of them have bellies that are abnormally large almost like a little egg is attached to them and most of them are not moving. I've had several of my other fish have normal fry but I've never seen anything like this. But approximately 2 weeks ago this same black molly had ich so I was treating her for that (without knowing she was pregnant). Could the medicine have affected her fry?

Most fry are born with an egg yolk still attached. Livebearers however generally are more developed and so this has already been absorbed. Odds are she is giving birth to fry that are sligthly premature. It's not a huge issue with mollies and the fry should just absorb the yolk and be fine. One thing to look into is why the fry are premature. Usually premature labor is due to stress. Have you been poking around in the tank recently? Have you moved any fish? Are any fish pestering her? What were you using to treat her for ick? Also what are your water parameters? And how big is your aquarium? Any other info you can think of will help as well.
