What's wrong with my wolf fish?!??!?

I think he's got some sort of disease. It seems that his dorsal fin is sort of corroding off, and all around it his scales are dying and coming off, and a patch of scales around his dorsal fin look to be dead or dying and rotting off, leaving a large sore.

Also, his gills and the area around them seem to be rotting too...

His eyes are shrunkin in, thats the other thing.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE??? I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS.
 
**** dude, no replies, im not much for help, but it sound like he has finrot, the other stuff I dont know about. but i'd quarintine him if at all possible, fin rot is contagious and a ****ty disease.

Im not sure but Wolf fish's all seem to look rotty and indent eyed,

Maybe it's a part of it's camoflauge pattern? or maybe there is something wrong with the pics i found lol.

It is a different wolf fish that he is talking about.
What are your water parameters at the moment? how often do you feed him and what? How often do you change the water in his tank and how much?
It dose not sound good maybe some kind of bacterial or fungus infection, it is hard not vague without pics. I would do a 50% water straight away and add some salt, I would think that 1 tsp per gal should be fine for now. I would then contiune to do 50% water changes everyday adding the required salt to the change water.
 
I just did a 50% water change yesterday, and I put in some melifix.

****! GOD DAMNIT! There's a ****in discus in there too that is good friends with him (dont ask) and it's about wasted too.

Yea I think this problem's beyond the help of salt, and I've got no Q-tanks for him. Looks like he's ****ed. Damnit I love that thing.

I can't say that I'm familiar with all of the symptoms that you described. Did they occur suddenly?

I'd do lots of water changes and treat with salt. Also, as ashdavid asked, what do you feed it? I've found that with a repetitive diet (ie: just feeders) they tend to do poorly.

Nah, it was the Ery in the 55.

I fed him shrimp and feeders.

He died yesterday though. R.I.P. the new Ery.

God damnit this wolf hobbie's gettin expensive.
