What's your biggest fear?

Im with Joe also ,Roaches and palmetto bugs , especialy the palmetto buggs , I think they know when someone is afraid of them or something they fly and walk towards you and I hear they bite hard ! They dont die easy either , they are like little small tanks ! Evil little creatures , I hate them

I'm not afraid of bugs of any type really, thats not to say I like them especially either. Good thing I'm not or I wouldn't have made it through our Costa Rica honeymoon. If you think FL has lots of bugs, you have no idea!

I do have a bit of a problem being in the middle of large crowds. I'm only 5'4" and it seems to be something about not being able to see anything around me but other people. I kind of feel like I'll be crushed or trampeled. Usually it's just an uncomfortable feeling, but I did come close to a panic attack once. Years ago I was with my then boyfriend at a UM football game. It was a major game, and the stands were packed. The boyfriend was a UM student so we were in the student section of the bleachers (bench style seating). Well the game was getting exciting so everyone started standing up. The people in the row in front of us stood on their seats. The people in the row behind us stood on OUR seats, so now I was in this little tiny space and I couldn't see around me at all. The nearby steps between sections were also completely packed with people just standing there. I was getting bumped & jostled from every direction. I felt trapped, I needed air. I told the boyfriend that I had to get out. I literally shoved people out of my way to get down below the stands near one of the concession stands where there were less people. The boyfriend came after me and was yelling at me for making him miss the game. I didn't care, I had to get out of there and made him take me home. He didn't talk to me the rest of the night. I've never had another experience quite like that, although I try to avoid being stuck in the middle of a crowd of people.

I can see the problem there..

OK here it is! I read all the past posts....
I live in Houston and guess what??? I have an absolute and TOTAL phobia of Roaches! I almost killed myself in my car one day when I saw a HUGE on on the inside of the door frame and I got totally paralized and could not stop watching it. I was going 70 on the freeway.... needless to say I wiped out in the median and peeled on of the tires off the rim... I was so freaked out!

2nd I HATE CLOWNS!!! Who thought they were for children??? Those yellow teeth... eewww freaky!

3rd... anything having to do with math! I hate it! I was told I was a stupid dumb bunny and would never go to college..... wonder how I got a masters degree?!? Anyway...
last but not least I haste dolls.. sp the porceline ones... yes I am a female, but I always felt better with a stuffed lion or a football. Dolls! YUKKKO!

Ok the algae growing in the middle of the pond reaching from the depths sorta freaks me out too!

I think that's part of the memory problem. I guess if I keep forgetting to use it, my memory will improve?? I may not have any friends left, but at least I'll remember them!!! :dance

In all seriousness, are there ANY deoderants without aluminum hydroxide that actually work???

Most likely - NoT!
What's really sad, is that it's true about the 'aluminum factor'...

Any Mitchum users ? ? ? ?

.
Can you imagine that same 'creature' - really big, dark brown, long antennaes, with those six legs, on a mission, and just landed near your upper arm, within 'close focus' crawling towards your face, while you drive...??? What to do???!!!! ..

Some other people have mentioned it, and while it isn't my biggest fear, I, too, will not touch the slimyness of a lake or pond. That said, I'm a New Hampshire girl. I learned to swim in a lake and grew up right on Silver Lake (one of the bigger in NH). The bottom part where it gets treaded a lot going into the water doesn't affect me. It's whenever you start moving to the sides of the beach where the rocks get all slimy and green thats bad.

Once, we took out a little aluminum boat (dont worry, I didn't rub my armpits on it) and I was a total IDIOT and assumed the anchor would be ATTACHED to the boat (i mean, come on, thats to be expected) so I threw it over the edge. Well, needless to say, it sank to the bottom unattached and I made chris jump out and dive to get it since it would involve touching the bottom and having to somehow get back in the boat among the long green algae-y things.

I have a huge fear of something grabbing me and yanking me under, too. I don't like being in deep water, or water above my head, moreso if it isn't clear and I can't see the bottom.

Now, on roaches:

I've only ever seen one. And I was really little when I saw it. I was vacationing with a friend's family and we stopped at a hotel in NY. It was crawling on the back of the bathroom door...needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night, and we tucked ourselves into the blankets as tight as it'd go.

Other than the common fear of spiders, I am afraid to drive a boat near a dam. I don't know why but it scares me, and I won't do it. I watch people all of the time water ski, and fish right up to the face of a dam but I can't bring myself to get near them.
