What's your biggest fear?

I have an irrational fear of large fish...carp most of all. If I see a carp (lord knows why I look) off the end of the dock, I won't get in to swim for days. If I happen to see a school of them, my summer is ruined.

I also refuse to swim in the ocean. Being afraid of carp, you can only imagine how much the thought of sharks freak me out.

I'm also afraid of flying cross-country non-stop to LAX - to the point where I need a flight that has 1 or 2 stops along the way. Weird, I know.

hmmmmm..... those are wierd fears, especially considering you keep aquariums.

I don't think I have any normal irrational fears, but there is this thing about standing at the edge of a cliff or something. I always feel compelled to back away. Rather strange, as I used to make a living jumping out of airplanes. I could stand in the door with no problem thousands of feet above the ground, knowing full well that I was about to step out, but looking a few hundred feet over the edge of a cliff? No thanks. Oh, by the way, don't even think guard rails make a difference. They could be rusty and weak you know...

Is that screwed up or what?

Oh yeah, and it may not be a real fear, but Fishcatch's avatar kinds gives me the heebie-jeebies if I look at it too long. LOL

hmmmmm..... those are wierd fears, especially considering you keep aquariums.

But..they're...carp. Ugly...menacing...huge (4 feet plus)...and I've seen them jump clear out of the water. They are the things my nightmares are made out of! Tropical fish, those are cute...I'd probably never go the way of a "monster fish keeper". Small fish are good fish, LOL.

hmmmmm...... you know, I used to be afraid of swimming in the open ocean, but I conqured that fear by jumping off a dock. maybe you should try swimming in a koi pond to conquer yours!
