This single recording became our ultimate Christmas song over the years. It blew me away the first time I heard this and still does every time.

Michael Crawford sings O Holy Night - Arrangment by David Foster 1993.

Michael Crawford sings a transcendent "O Holy Night" -- possibly the best version ever recorded -- on the TV special "David Foster's Christmas Album" (NBC, December 10, 1993). The majestic arrangement (by Jeremy Lubbock & David Foster) starts out softly, then slowly builds to a spine-tingling crescendo, creating an unforgettable and timeless Christmas masterpiece.

David Foster would later use this arrangement again, on recordings by Celine Dion and Josh Groban... and while their versions are fine, they don't quite recapture the magic of Michael Crawford's version.
