whats your favorite pleco? besides a zebra

The Black Phantom Pleco.

I do not know its Latin or L number becuase I could not find it anywhere on any data sites. I saw a few in Aquarium Adventure in Columbus in the fall of 2003. They were all black with numerous robin's egg blue freckles all over them. I have never seen them since, they were $109 each. Any thoughts about thier L number or other possible names?

They were cooler than zebras.

Might be a snowball pleco.......I've seen something like what I think you are trying to describe....Dark/black pleco with sky blue colored dots......right?

My absolute favorite plecos are my Royal Plecostomuses and coming in a close second are my Red Hi Fin Plecostomuses. These are the only two that I have right now that I prefer. I also think the rubber plecos are okay.

Last week I saw a fully grown Royal Pleco for $100......Looked really cool full grown.

royals are nice but beware if you dont feed them enough or have alot of driftwood they will eat the silicone in the corners of the aquarium. why? i think because the algea that grows there as the scrape it off and they take the silicone with it.
