I'm setting up a 60g community tank, and I'm trying to figure out what kind of top-dwellers to get. I'm partial to opaline gouramis and marbled hatchets, but I'm interested in expanding my list. So what are your favorites?

Marble Hatchets are really awesome, when I had them they were so much fun to watch! Watch any openings though, i had one jump out during the night once...not a good morning

Zebra danios are loads of fun. If you get a proper sized school they'll continuously chase each other and play tag. They also like to play with their food and sometimes it looks like they are playing pass the food.

I've never had hatchets, but I've only heard good things about them. As for zebra danios, they will occupy all levels of the tank and are extremely hyperactive.

My personal favorites are arowanas and african butterfly fish.

But to help you out on your list. Mollies, gouramis, bettas and danios all good communial interactions as top-dwellers.

Love the Africans, the small tanks (poor man's) arowana! :)
