For my community tank, it would be a toss up between Whiskers, Eeltail Catfish, and Cozzi, Common Pleco. Both would be between 8 to 10 inches. Still got a alot of growing to do though.
Sorry to revive this somewhat old thread, but I think it's neat.
My biggest fish ever was my first silver arowana at 13''. Unfortunately last summer he decided to take flying lessons and jumped out of the tank while I was away. I had weights and phonebooks on top of my covers too to prevent him from jumping, totally underestimated his strength.
My new baby silver is closing in on 10'' though. Got him at 6'' on Jan 30 of this year. They grow 1-1.5 inches per month until they hit 24'' when their growth slows down quite a bit.
Pics please? I have yet to see a captive pima (excluding ones in public aquariums) over 8 ft. If yours is 10ft it must be around 10-12 years old. For some reason I smell BS though...
Well in my pond I have koi that are well over 2 feet long. In my aquariums, the longest fish I have is a Florida Gar that is somewhere between 17 and 18 inches.
I'm at work and I don't have any new pics of my gar in photobucket except for this old tank shot.
