Sometimes having a tank can be very rewarding, sometimes it can be frustrating as heck.

What's your most frustrating tank experience that almost caused you to give up on it or did?

Mines was when I grew out all these flame moss on one of my tanks and it was later infested in clado because someone on the forums sold me infested stuff, the algae from you know where. I had to tear it all up. That was awhile back and my flame moss came back but during that time I was completely devestated and I let the tank go for months. That was at least 20 golfballs worth too!

Also, one time I had cherry shrimps and they were thriving and one day, for no reason, they started dying in mass. I still haven't found the answer to this day.

What about you guys?

I've never had a frustrating experience with my tanks........................... nope never.............................................. and I never had a problem with pesky algae..

before every weekend was a frustrating moment.. Sucking water through a hose just to get the suction going for a wc. And then running around with the darn bucket back and forth trying to empty and then fill 2 tanks.

Do what I do, do a water change with your garden water hose.

Just put the hose in the tank with a sponge over the head to prevent any suck ups. Turn the knob so water flows through the hose till it comes out the other end. Shut off the water and disconnect the hose. Water will come out due to gravity so you don't have to do any sucking and when you wanna put water back into your tank after taking it out, just reconnect and pump water in, add a little prime beforehand and boom, should be good.

Never had a fish die from this and I keep neons and other tetras in the.

the day I came home to find 90 g my full blown reef tank dieing, water was turning into jelly (as strange as that may sound), everything died. Every tube was blocked, corals were all closed and dieing, fish were dead, bristle worms were trying their best to crawl our of their hiding places. . .

What happened, you ask? My dad was curious to see what would happen if he put a live clam under the sandbed. this was weeks prior.

It died, and it's rotting corpse messed everything up.. Had to tear down the tank .
