What's Your Most Frustrating Tank Experience?

ok my real worst tank issue, I came back from a trip to find my entire up stairs smelling of sulfur, and all the fish in my 20 gallon dead (sigh) poor diamond tetra

Wooo
If I did that, I think the ending of cute name calling isn't the only thing that'll be ending that day :nilly:. My gf is especially violent, I'd probably get chased around by a car for awhile...I knew I shouldn't have given her that taser as part of her bday present too :irked:.

(I love these smilies lol!!)

LOL natty you gotta live on the edge sometimes...for our 4 year anniversary I wrapped Myself up in a box and thats what i gave her...the look on her face was PRICELESS! It reminds me of a kid all excited for the big present and finding its clothes or something he didn't want LOL....BUT then again your taking to the guy that would randomly walk off in the stores without telling anyone where I was. You'll be shocked how fast a 26 year old man can wander off without anyone seeing him..God bless her for the amount of **** I put that girl through lol...I think our 5 year we were more shocked then happy we lasted that long LOL...

Lol sounds fun. My GF and I have exchanged some odd presents before as well.

A year back, I gave her a box with a card inside. The box was pretty big and she was expecting a lot (puppy....). She opened it only to find the box empty with a card inside saying "Happy bday baby! For your bday this year I give you the precious gift of air....and you're very :welcome: too". :silly:

I also gave her a present that was wrapped up in 7 different layers of packaging. It was a nice women's sport watch that she wanted. You shoulda seen her face when she had to go through 6 layers of cardboard and a bunch of plastic bags. Don't worry, we recycled it all .

I am currently experiencing my most frustrating tank issues ever! I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and still soooo sick I can't stand to look at or think about changing the water in my tanks. And even if I could, I can't lift the 15g bucket up to the sink to empty it out, or lift the water back into the 40g. (No, I can't get python because it won't hook up to the sink in my apt. and I can't mod it.) Hubby has changed the water a few times, but my carefully planted tanks are being destroyed! It makes me soo sad. :(

My most horrible tank moment.

It would probably be having to to come home with cyanobacteria covering EVERYTHING, and my filters off...

"Those filters are wasting electricity!"

before every weekend was a frustrating moment.. Sucking water through a hose just to get the suction going for a wc. And then running around with the darn bucket back and forth trying to empty and then fill 2 tanks.

oh, i hear ya. that part really bites man.

Finding cat hair in my tank. Found out the cat was sticking her paws by the HOB filter and cleaning her paws in the tank water AFTER she used her litter box.

I covered the opening near the HOB filter and that was keeping her out. I still found her cat hair in the tank.

Last night at 3am I heard her opening the lid to the tank and then cleaning her paws. I have duct taped the lid shut!!

MY 29 gallon emptying two thirds of aquatic goodness all over the home I JUST signed the lease for. Of course it was after a weekend of partying and dancing at The Castle Bar so I was exhausted to say the least. No fish lost, but THEN when I had them in a bucket I knew was safe for them, of course one decides to act like it's going belly up. Another panic, another rescue tank later and eventually it all got back together. I looked at it positively though.
I learned: How to reseal an aquarium, how to ask my wife BEFORE I use a bucket I know is safe (used for floor mopping... OUCH), and how to quickly get the awful stank out of a cheap industrial carpet.
...ah, good times...
