sorry its taken me so long to get back to u guys all the water parameters were well within check i do weekly 50% water changes religiously with gravel vacs. clean my canister monthly and HOB back bi weekly.

nitrate 5.0
nitrite 0
ph 8.0

i know my tank is overstocked but i am currently cycling my 55 for my fishies. their home is currently a 38 gallon tall stocked with 2 yellow labs 2" and 1.5", one red empress peacock 2.5", one red finned borleyi 2", and one female melanochromis exasperatus 2" that is holding. i had purchased the brsitlenose in hopes of keeping my algae in check as the yellow labs graze on it occasionally but not enough to make a difference.

Strange I have been trying to do this. Where did you find a hinge, back piece and handle? I hope it was at a LPS chain.

The hinge comes in 30" sections as with the back strip, each is about $3 and the handle was $1.70

He has a marineland glass hood. You can order exactly what he has for like 10 dollars from Dr Foster ans Smith.

Thats just the handles they sell at aquatic eco.
