Don't forget about store credit. I know people that have wall to wall tanks and their operating cost are virtually zero. And they still make some dough too. If you can work out a deal with a lfs for some credit and some wholesale you'll be better off. Lfs are willing to give more in credit than cash.

Ah yes I forgot to mention this earlier. I was shooting for store credit to start. They don't carry much that I need (besides first bites) but if I built up a lot I'd have no problem having them order stuff for me even if it costs a bit more

I agree with jp...expect 1/3 of what they go for in cash. You might be able to work a better deal for store credit or trade.

Since the LFS knowingly purchased them illegally, and as a larger party of interest, it would make more sense to me that they would focus their attack on them and not the "lowly hobbyist." If I were in that situation, they wouldn't get much money out of me LOL.

I just wanted to get their own legal language out there in case anyone else was considering the risks and also so it doesn't seem like I or anyone else on the site is encouraging an illegal activity.

Right on. Good, then I'm glad you did so. I would never want anything like that to happen as far as the site and members go because up to this point it has only been discussion and not a dollar has changed hands.

While I'm at it I might as well get this question out there. I have 3 blue angels that came from the same shipment (I believe) an hour away at a small fish shop and one that managed to get into an assorted lot at a big box store that I got for $6.

Should I be worried about what generation the original 3 were if two of them pair up? I'm worried they may be inbred. Not that I have any reason to believe that it just scares me because people say to watch out for anything F3 and on. Of course if the big box pairs with one of them I have nothing to worry about as they're probably from completely different farms (oh god what if both places order from the same distributor). Anyway just thinking out loud here but should I worry?
