Yeah, it looks like 1998 would be the answer, i.e. if you are looking for a logo saying "AC Est. 1998" or whatever. The domain name has been around since then, the site itself has gone through several different transformations over the years.

On that link, it shows me as roughly member number 100, but this database was started after a major crash. Before the crash, I was member 3704. I wonder how many users were lost to the crash? Although I am sure that many just resigned up instead of being transferred over.
