So when I lifted up my driftwood while cleaning one of my today I noticed my BN plecos had apparently been getting busy since there were around 100 little tiny pinky nail sized babies all huddled together. Just thought I would share some crappy pics since I think baby plecos are so cute. They will be up for grabs soon if anyone is interested. Also...ignore the stuff flying around them on the gravel..I had just cleaned the tank and a really annoying guppy was tearing up an algae wafer right beside them...sigh...live bearers.

Very nice!

Thanks all! Most of you all know I usually have some baby fish or shrimp or inverts of some kind in my tanks all the time from random breeding projects, but I love the surprise of finding that some of my critters made babies without me even knowing about it or trying to get them to do it. =)

how big are your plecos? i have 4 in my 20 long with 6 pleco caves, biggest being the albino BN, at about 3 inches, other 3 from 1.5 to 2.5 inches. want them to breed.

My pair of adults are around 4 inches each..maybe a little more. They are pretty big even for BNs.

How soon for availability? Depending on timeframe, I may be interested. I'm looking to have 4 BN for my 125 (with 4 False Imperials), but the tank wont be ready for at least a couple months yet. (Flim-flamming sub-floor needing supports and wife wanting to paint & rearrange room first)

It should be a while..a few months at least. They need to get big enough to travel. =)
