When to condition water?

Should I add the AquaSafe now?

On the lable it says.. Makes tap water safe for fish, Neutrualizes chlorine, chloramine, and heavy metals harmful to fish, it also enhances natural, protective slime coating of fish, and it completes formula, works in seconds

a day or two.

I think I am going to get a water sample and take it to my local store.

every day for several weeks? you could , but they don't always know what they're doing and you will need a test kit in the long run so you should just buy one.

It depends whos there. I got my rat there and my normal fish(the one I got at wallmart is "special") ...I will go there, if its some kid then I wont bother and just buy the test kit(wich Im going to buy anway) I will prob test it my self after they test it just to compare the results. And maby pick up a betta. Put it in the 2g bowl until the goldfish and snail are moved into the 55, then put the betta in the 5g.

Just transfer the entire contents of your 5g into your 55 minus the UGF you mentioned in the other thread and you will instantly cycle the tank for the load you have in the 5g, provided that your 5g is already cycled. Make sure the water is dechlorinated either by time or the dechlorinator before you put the fish in first though.
