Where are those shrimp?

The new batch of ghost shrimp died. I only found to bodys. I gess the snail got them. Shes allways out and about.
How many bamboo shrim can fit in a 10g? Wikipedia says 2g per shrimp but I have read they can get to 5in.
 
got any copper in the tank? Ever treated with copper?
 
I dont even have a test for copper. Havent seen one in my lfs, I found a new store though. Its a bit of a drive but its great. I just got myself a plump pearlscale there. I will call and see if they have it. If I cant find it around me I will order it online.
 
I strongly disagree on the neons not being able to toake on shrimp...esp. any of the dwarf variety.

I say this because I use to keep dwarf crays with regular neons and I would regularly see the neons fighting over baby crays.

Ghost shrimp get much, much larger than baby crays. Nobody is saying that neons won't eat juvenile shrimp. They will, that's why people suggest that you keep shrimp in a "shrimp only" tank with no fish if you want to maximize reproduction.

However, a neon CANNOT take down a healthy adult ghost shrimp or dwarf shrimp (RCS, CRS, Bumblebee, etc...).

My ghosts have been in my 55g discus tank for over a week now...and I have plenty of plants and hiding caves/wood....so they do well to hide. But they fare well at 85F...which I thought would be a gamble. They seem active and I saw some grab brine shrimp floating by and cram them into their mouths...excellent cleaners, and fun little guys to watch if you can "find" them
