I love winter. Just came back from Okemo. We'll be heading to Breckenridge for the first time the end of this month. Anyone been there? Tips? I never hear folks on this site talking about skiing. It's unquestionably my favorite hobby, but unfortunately I can't do it everyday like fishkeeping!

Haven't been around too much this year, but i snowboarded at Ski Sundown (New Hartford, CT) and up at Wachusett mountain.
Local skiing here is all ice (Nova Scotia). It is still fun though and makes you a skier with great balance. For Christmas I spent some time at Steamboat Springs in Colorado. Great place.
Skiing here in MN is horrible...too flat here. Though Lutsen is supposed to be the best in the MidWest or at least pretty good, but I havent made it up there yet...
Wow. Not my imagination--not too many fishkeepers ski! Sorry to hear about everyone's bad locations. I have to travel a good distance myself to get good skiing. The Poconos are my local mountains and I haven't been there in years for that very reason. Once you've had snow, you'll never go back to the slippery icy stuff (unless you have no choice). I expect cold in Canada TKOS, but not ice! Steamboat is a great place-one of our favorites.
Here in montana the skiing is great, back in the day I skiied every weekend. we have to many to count ski erea's here. some of the best in the west.
I used to ski Bridger Bowl a lot.. But I haven't been in literally years. All my friends have turned into weenies.
I've never skied Montana but I've heard rave reviews of Blue Sky. Wish I could live there!
Lots of ski resorts in the NC mountains but I hate the cold. My brother used to go all the time when he lived here and lives in Colorado now. He tried to get me to go with him but I'm allergic to broken legs.
